The house

Why choose our house?

Set quietly in 4,500 m² of wooded grounds, the house lets you enjoy complete peace while staying less than 5 minutes from Tarbes and close to the finest sites in the Pyrenees.

Whether you are here for hiking, cycling, swimming, good food or simply time together with family or friends, everything is within easy reach.

A lounge and dining room, a large kitchen built for cooking together with its own adjoining dining room, and a conservatory opening onto the garden. The bedrooms have kept their period colours — peach, sky blue, powder pink — and several of them their fireplace.

Built at the very start of the twentieth century, the house has never stopped being lived in. A piano in the lounge, a fireplace that still draws, floorboards that creak in all the right places.

Grounds & pool

Four and a half thousand square metres, fully enclosed

The 10 × 5 pool, the table-tennis table under the trees, the hammock in the shade of the mulberry, and room enough for fifteen people to cross paths only when they want to. Plenty to play with, too: badminton, football goals and balls are all on site.

The grounds are fully enclosed — children are safe here, and pets are welcome.

Retreats, off-sites & events

Room enough for fifteen people, quiet enough to work

The house can also be taken over outside the holidays. It suits anything that needs quiet and space: a two-day off-site, a yoga or meditation retreat, a team meeting you want to hold away from the office, a writing week, a family birthday.

Nothing overlooks the house, there is no immediate neighbour, and several rooms let one group work while another rests.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most

Can we bring a dog?

Yes, pets are welcome. The 4,500 m² grounds are fully enclosed, which makes the stay comfortable for a dog and for whoever walks it. Please tell us when you book.

Is the pool fenced?

Yes, it is secured by a fence. It measures 10 × 5 metres and opens according to the season and the weather — usually from May to September. We confirm whether it will be open for your dates before you arrive.

How many people can the house sleep?

Fifteen people across five bedrooms, in 300 m² of living space. This ceiling is contractual: the insurance of the property depends on it.

Can we rent only part of the house?

No. The house is let as a whole, never by the room. That is what lets a group of fifteen genuinely have the place to themselves.

How far are Tarbes and Lourdes?

Tarbes is a 5-minute drive, Lourdes 30 minutes. The Pic du Midi is an hour’s drive to La Mongie plus a 15-minute cable car; Gavarnie is 1 hr 15 away, the Néouvielle reserve 1 hr 30.

Is cleaning included?

Yes, the end-of-stay cleaning is included in the price, along with bed linen and towels. All you have to do is leave the house tidy: washing-up done, bins out, fridge emptied.

How do payment and the deposit work?

Payment is by bank transfer: a deposit on booking, the balance before arrival. The €1,500 security deposit is given by cheque, which is not cashed and is returned within 10 days of departure.

Can we hold a retreat or an off-site there?

Yes. Outside the holidays the house is taken over for anything that needs quiet and space: an off-site, a yoga or meditation retreat, a team meeting, a writing week, a family birthday. Nothing overlooks the house, and several rooms let one group work while another rests.

Do we have to book through a platform?

No. Booking is direct with the owners: no service fees, no platform commission, no account to create. Send us your dates and we reply within 24 hours with the price and the availability.
